Garden visit
\n<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A first visit to the garden helps me to get to know you and your garden. We start with a tour of the garden and a detailled questionnaire to understand your needs, as well as any limitations or urgent works\u00a0 This is free within the Lake Geneva region.<\/p>\n

Proposal<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A written proposal will follow the garden visit within a week. It will detail all the steps in the process, with costings for each step.\u00a0 The steps are likely to follow the format below:<\/p>\n

Concept plans
\n<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the time to explore all the possibilities and options for your garden, to use my creativity and my in-depth knowledge of plants and materials. I usually create several different versions of the concept plans to maximise the possibilites for every space.<\/p>\n

Master Plan<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Master Plan will detail all the new construction or planting elements, and materials, as well as any elements of the garden to be kept or renovated.\u00a0 The Master Plan may also include lighting, drainage or other complex details. It is drawn to scale and may easily be shared with other contractors.<\/p>\n

Planting plans
\n<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Planting Plans are also drawn to scale, taking into account your plant preferences, the orientation of the garden and the soil. The early stages of the plans include common names and Latin names. The plans themselves include Latin names for ease of understanding for French or English-speaking contractors and later identification if needed. You will keep a copy of the plant list sent to the nursery or landscaper including pot sizes and quantities. Tailored maintenance plans can also be created, if required.<\/p>\n

Offers for tender
\n<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This includes a detailled technical description in English and\/or French, the Master Plan, Planting Plans plus a site meeting for up to three seaprate landscaping companies. I will then prepare a comparative study of each offer to help you make the best decision to select the best contractor to make your garden dreams a reality.<\/p>\n

Build<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Weekly visits, or more often as required, to suprevise the creation of your garden, spot issues before they come up and act as a conduit of communication between the client and the contractor. This is partiuclarly helpful when the client and the contractor don’t speak the same language.<\/p>\n

Consultancy<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a single visit, followed by a short report. Ideal for owners or renters with some questions, or who want to explore a design for a small part of their garden – 100 CHF<\/p>\n

For larger gardens or clients with a lot of questions, a 2 hour visit, with a multi-page report, plans etc – 800 CHF<\/p>\n
