Initial Meeting
This free service within the Lac Léman region allows me the chance to get to know you and your garden better. It takes about an hour, starting with a tour of your garden, and then a detailled questionnaire about you, your family, your likes and dislikes and how you plan to use the garden.
Proposal
This written proposal details exactly what I will undertake for a specific fee. This includes a detailled brief for more complex projects. The Proposal will include one or more stages, as required, from the list below. Once you’re happy that the proposal reflects what you want, we can start.
Concept
This is the time to explore the possibilities, and use my creativity and insights as a designer. This usually brings together several possible executions for your garden.
Master Plan
The Master Plan details all the hard and soft landscape areas and materials. It may also include lighting, drainage or technical specifications.
Planting Plan
These are detailled plans, drawn to scale, reflecting your planting preferences, the site and soil as well as any existing planting. These are created with the Latin names of plants, as well as a plant list, making it suitable to be followed by yourself, or a contractor.
Tender
This includes preparing the technical brief (in English or French), Master Plan, Planting Plans plus on-site briefing (in French) for 2-3 contractors. It also includes management of the quote process to ensure ease of comparison and guidance on comparison of quotes.
Other Services
I can create maintenance plans for your new garden for you or a gardener to follow, or create a build plan for several years.
Consultancy
This is a one-off visit, followed up with a detailled written report. It is suitable if you have a lot of questions, such as plant identification and health, how to get the best from a rented garden, or first steps towards thinking about a later design.
Fees are 500 CHF for gardens up to 3,000 square metres.
For larger or more complex gardens, please get in touch for details.
